One of the busiest places in the world is a bank. Going and coming, saving and withdrawing, sending and receiving etc are parts of the activities in the bank.
One hot Friday afternoon, I went to the ever so crowded banking hall to deposit some money. After waiting for close to three hours, I was able to make my deposit. I was going to use the door when all of a sudden an elderly man chanced me from nowhere. As a good child that I was, I let him be (before they say I am not respectful). The old man seemed in a hurry and kept pressing the button to the exit door impatiently. He pressed and pressed and pressed for close to ten minutes yet the door didn’t open. All of a sudden, he got a call and stepped away from the door to receive it and then the door opened. I hurriedly got in and went my way, thinking what will happen if he experiences the same problem again?
You could describe the world we live in as a bank. It is sometimes too busy, too crowded, too hectic for our liking but we don’t or can’t leave without achieving our aim.
But if we learnt to be patient, hold on and don’t give up, we just might get through just fine. Fact is, what will be will be.
“You may be doing all the right things and talking to all the right people, studying the right course, and so on, but if you don’t give each of these things the chance to manifest on you, you may never see them work”
The old man kept pressing the right button but never gave the door a chance to open. You may be doing all the right things and talking to all the right people, studying the right course, and so on, but if you don’t give each of these things the chance to manifest on you, you may never see them work.
Hold on, don’t move and don’t give up at all when trying to achieve an aim. The old man after wasting ten minutes just moved a little to receive a call and missed an opportunity to leave. When we are almost at our breakthrough, we should make sure we stand our ground else our reward be received by another.
This life is said to be a market where we buy, we sell and we go. It’s also a bank where we queue till it’s our turn. Let’s live life simply and enjoy while stock lasts.
Have a blessed week.
