Real Madrid, the 11-time European champions will renew their rivalry against their near-neighbours Atletico.

The Madrid clubs have met in the UCL final in two of the last three years, with Real winning on both occasions.

In 2014, Madrid won by beating Athletico 5-3 on penalties after 120 minutes and in 2016, Madrid again defeated Athletico 4-1 after 120 minutes.

As a result, Diego Simeone will be prepared for this one in order not to make it a hat-trick of victories for Real Madrid.

In the second tie, attack-minded Monaco will face Italian champions and defensive-minded, Juventus. The Old Lady of Turin has won the  UCL twice in 1985 and 1996 while Monaco qualified for final in 2004. They were defeated by Porto.

The first legs of the matches are expected to be played between May 2nd and May 3rd while the second leg will take place the following week.

In the Europa Cup, Europe’s 2nd competition, Ajax will play Lyon while Celta Vigo will face Manchester United. The first leg will be played on May 4 and the second leg will take place on May 11th.
