The top five leagues in Europe are on break and will resume in August. For some Nigerian football fans, they do not wish for the season to ever come to end because it is one of the perks of their weekend. But this is impossible. Consequently, they are bored and frustrated. Seriously, you are dulling because there are things you can do to spice up your life even if there is no European football:
Follow the NPFL
Many Nigerians do not regard the Nigerian Professional Football League. Despite this contempt, the NPFL continues. You can take out time to watch some NPFL matches. If you are in Lagos, you can check out Mountain of Fire Football Club at the Agege Stadium when they play at home. Currently, Plateau United at the top with 51 points.
Watch Tennis (Wimbledon)
Granted, you love football. However, there are other sports beyond football. One of which is Tennis. You are in luck as Wimbledon, a Grand Slam, is still going on. You can enjoy watching Venus Williams and Roger Federer among others play.
Play computer games
Soccer, Smackdown, racing etc are some of the games you can play. It will help you pass time and you won’t feel the effect of the lack of football.
Watch out for international/club friendlies or rewatch matches
Some European clubs are currently having their pre-season in different countries and they play friendlies. You can follow these matches. Better still, you can re-watch clips of your favourite matches on YouTube
Spend good time with your friends
Since there is no football to watch, you can spend time with your friends at a relaxation spot. It is worth it.
