Samson Siasia’s boys, who recently lost to Mexico, were lucky to secure a win, courtesy of a strike by defender Stanley Amuzie, who was named the hero of the match.

The Dream Team VI had several chances but were unable to convert and find the back of the net, until the 33rd minute, when Amuzie’s strike sealed the win for them.

Demba Ba suffers ugly injury that may end his career

Demba Ba has suffered an injury so horrific that we fear, may end his football career for good.

The former English Premier league star suffered the injury during a Chinese league Shanghai derby against rivals Shanghai SPIG.

The current highest goal scorer of the league, Ba, was injured when Sun Xiang caught his left leg and he slipped off, which lead to a horrific broken leg, which will put him out of commission for years.

Speaking in a post match press conference after his side won the match by 2-1, Shanghai Shenhua coach Gregorio Manzano, said the injury may end Demba’s career.

“It could end Ba’s professional career. I would rather lose the game than lose Ba. Ba is too good to have this happen to him.”

Demba has been outstanding since he joined the club in 2015, he has scored an impressive 14 goals in 18 league appearances.

We hope this isn’t the end of his football career. Get well soon Demba.

Diego Costa has no plans of leaving Chelsea

Chelsea star Diego Costa has no intention of leaving Chelsea during this transfer window, as he has not submitted a transfer request, despite rumors of a potential move from Stamford Bridge.

Though reports in Spain claims the striker is seeking a move back to former club Atletico Madrid, sources have revealed that the 31-year old is happy to remain at Chelsea for the next season.

Costa, who left Atletico Madrid in 2014, will be happy to know that the club president revealed that the club will be open to return from the talented forward.

“Costa played for us for a few years and he’s a really good player, no one can deny that,” Enrique Cerezo said last week.

“I don’t know if Costa has spoken to Conte, but we’re working to hard bring the best players to Atleti.”

Chelsea have signed two players so far and are said to be looking to sign more, as they look to make a come back, from their struggles of last season.
