AFWL has hosted six catwalk events since inception in 2011 and contributed expertise to more than 10 events produced by 3rd parties such as The Mayor of London’s Black History Month celebrations and the annual Africa Centre Summer Festival.

The Event has showcased over 800 emerging designer & exhibitors, from Africa, Europe and America, to almost 70,000 visitors including buyers, retailers, influential industry professional, and the media is now a highlight to the annual fashion calendar.

The two-day event was held in London at Freemasons’ Hall in Covent Garden on the 11 and 12 August 2017. After 3 years at London Olympia, Africa Fashion week London has sought a new backdrop for their annual show.

The prestigious venue has been home of many fashion shows including the LFW off schedule powerhouse, Fashion scout: but none will match the vibrancy of the African design aesthetic!
