After a blistering start to life in the English premier league, Super Eagles defender cum midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has been adjudged to be the Young Player of the Year for Leicester City.
Ndidi, who joined the last season champion in January from Gent of Belgium put up a superlative performance that saw him net two league goals.
The elated player expressed his joy in winning the award.
“I feel so great to be rated alongside Ben Chiwell and Demarai Gray and to also win the award,” he said.
Apart from being nominated for the Young player category, his goal against Stoke was also nominated for the Goal of the season but lost to Danny Drinkwater’s strike against Liverpool.
Ndidi will be expected replicate his club form to the national team when the camp opens in France.
