RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita who was earlier this week accused of possessing a fake driver’s license, is set to appeal against a penalty order issued him by a Leipzig district court.
The court spokesperson Stefan Blaschke confirmed the penalty order and that an appeal has been lodged but couldn’t confirm Bild’s report of the amount of fine metted to Keita.
The Bild reported that Keita had twice tried to use counterfeit Guinean driving licences to obtain a licence in Germany, stating that he reportedly made attempts in both December 2016 and January this year using forged licences.
Keita’s appeal is set to lead to a case at Leipzig’s district court next year.
