The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Fanendo Adi for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount following his unsportsmanlike behaviour in the game against Sporting Kansas City.
By this, the former FC Copenhagen star will not be available for selection when Portland Timbers trade tackles with Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, April 22.
Portland Timbers coach, Caleb Porter was disappointed in the decision of Major League Soccer, stating : “I was surprised there wasn’t another player on the other team to get a suspension, that’s what I’ll say.”
In the new season, Fanendo Adi has started every single game, netting five times and breaking records.
