Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins on Sunday led his Chinese Super league side Shanghai shenhua to the cup title against city rival Shanghai SIPG on away advantage.

Martins who gave Shenhua their first leg victory, replicated his devastating form in the keenly contested second leg as he scored the second goal in the second half to put the score at 2-1.

Wejin Lue had given SIPG the lead in the 16th minutes before Funding Cao leveled the scores for Shenhua on the stroke of half time.

Former Brazilian international Hulk equalized in the 72nd minutes, while Andres Moreno own goal gave SIPG the 3-2 victory.

The game ended 3-3 aggregate but Shenhua celebrated her fourth cup title after their 1-0 victory in the first leg made sure they won on away rule.
