Raheem Sterling, who is proving to be the ‘Sergio Ramos’ of Manchester City, scored a dramatic late winner in Manchester City’s 2-1 victory over Southampton to make sure they topped the table with 40 points.

No side in English top-flight history have bettered that return since the introduction of three points for a win, with an iconic side from Spurs’ the only one to match City’s efforts.

City have now stretched their winning run to 12 against the Saints and will attempt to equal the record of 13 games set by Arsenal (2001-02) and Chelsea (2016-17) when they host bottom-table placed West Ham this weekend.

The team is becoming unstoppable!
