It’s another food Wednesday! Pepper soup is simply meat in a spiced broth. The taste comes from the spice mix. You can either make it with goat meat or catfish. It is quite easy to make as long as you have the ingredients.

Ingredients

Pepper soup spice mix

Teaspoons dry blended hot chilli

Goat meat

Salt to taste

Onion, ginger and garlic

Seasoning

Directions

Set a medium size pot over medium heat, add in the washed goat, 1 cup of water, seasoning, some salt, onion, ginger and garlic.

Set the heat to below medium, cover the pot and leave the meat to cook for 1 hour 30 minutes (or until very tender). Remove the ginger and garlic pieces.

Add several cups of water to the pre-cooked meat, add in the pepper soup spice, and chilli powder. Allow to cook for 25-30mins.
