Like Genevieve Nnaji, Tonto Dikeh, Omotola Jalade and others who have tried their hands in music, Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele doesn’t seem to want to miss a share of the “perks” that comes with it as she drops her own single to the delight of her fans.
She announced this on her instagram page today with the caption, “Jenifa (jack of all trade) is now a music artist. Her first single is out now ‘I want to rap’.”
The song is reportedly filled with comic words from “Jenifa’s Diary” with the continuous chorus “I Want to Rap” in groovy beat.
Many of the Nigerian Actresses that have dabbled into music never gave us a good experience, but you may find yourself dancing to Jenifa’s ‘I want to rap’.
In 2013 Tonto Dikeh gave us “Hi” but till today she’s still being trolled by fans for the “ear torment” they got from her song.
Judging by the fact that this song is from Funke Akindele’s comical character, Jenifa, we hope the fans will be nicer with their criticisms.
Listen to Jenifa’s first single below and let’s hear your thoughts.
