Last week, Afrobeat king, Femi Anikulapo Kuti tried to break the world saxophone record but failed by a few minutes (see previous post here).
He ended up breaking the record of Kenny by holding an E-flat on his sax for 45 minutes.
However, the music legend has finally beaten Vann Burchfield who currently holds the world record by 47 minutes, 5.5 seconds.
Femi Kuti has broken the world record for the longest single note held on a saxophone using the circular breathing technique.
The singer held the note for the whole of 51 minutes 35 seconds at the New African Shrine on Sunday, May 14 beating the previous holders.
He took to his twitter page to share the good news.

The singer once said he was not in the business for the awards, but hey, these milestones are great sidekicks.
