Reports reaching us at Tuesday revealed that, nine persons, suspected to be collaborators of the Muslim fanatic sect, Boko Haram, have been arrested by the Nigerian troops.
This was confirmed in a statement issued to the press by the army spokesperson, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, who also is the Acting Director, Army Public Relations.
He stated that, the nine suspects were arrested in the Northeast Zone. He also said that, a total of 30 suspects have been apprehended in the last two days including two officers, two soldiers, two policemen and 26 civilians.
The spokesperson revealed that the earlier arrest of 21 persons, led to the arrest of the nine persons.
He assured the public that they will work to arrest more saboteurs who are sabotaging their efforts to clamp down the Boko Haram terrorists. He also advised members of the public to assist them by reporting any suspicious movements without hesitation.
