Former Super Eagles defender, Efe Ambrose has agreed a two-year deal with the newly promoted Scottish premier League side Hibernian FC.
The former Kaduna United centre back joined the Easter road side from the Scottish premier league champion Celtic during the winter transfer after the intended move to English championship side Blackburn Rovers collapsed due to work permit.
The 28-year-old had put up an outstanding performance which eventually assisted the Hibs to emerge Scottish championship champion and automatically secure them premier league football next season. This further convinced the technical crew of the team led by the manager Neil Lennon who signed him at Celtic in 2012, to speak to management into signing him permanently.
The club senior chief Jackie McNamara said about Ambrose, “I’m absolutely delighted, its a great signing. I was hoping they would manage to sign him and I’m delighted they have.
“Of course, Neil Lennon knows what he can do from their time at Celtic and I loved watching him when he was at Hibs on loan” he told Newsmen.
The former junior international was part of Super Eagles AFCON 2013 squad that emerged winners in South Africa and has managed over 50 caps for Nigeria and netted 4 goals.
