Multiple reports in Argentina are claiming that Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has suffered broken ribs after being involved in an accident in Amsterdam.
The Manchester City striker attended a concert in Amsterdam featuring Colombian singer Maluma and was reportedly hurt on his return to the airport when the taxi he was in was involved in an accident.
Aguero was reported to be wearing a seat belt when the taxi carrying the City star apparently hit a pole.
Dutch police confirmed to Sky Sports News that two people had been taken to hospital but did not disclose the identity of the individuals.
Aguero’s former club Independiente and current club Manchester City have confirmed the news, wishing the forward speedy recovery but the length of injury has not been revealed.
Aguero will miss a number of City’s Premier League including the high profile battle against Chelsea this weekend and Champions League games, while he will also be absent for Argentina’s crucial final two World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Ecuador.
