Itching eyes can be irritating and frustrating. Sometimes, it stems from irritation, infections or allergies and can lead to swollen or red eyes. Some other causes of itchy eyes include dryness of the eyes, asthma, and and the use of contact lenses. As they say, prevention is better than cure. But if you are experiencing itchy eyes, we discuss ways to deal with these:

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera can effectively cure itchy eyes. You should simply cut open the leaf of a fresh Aloe Vera, extract the juice and then mix it with a teaspoon of honey and elderberry blossom tea. Rinse your eyes with this solution mixture for a minimum of two times a day. Repeat this daily until the itching eye problem is solved completely.

Raw potatoes

For raw potatoes, cut a raw cleaned potato into thin round slices. Keep the cut slices in the refrigerator for several minutes and once the slices are cooled, take it out from the refrigerator and place it over your eyes for about 30 minutes.

Chilled milk

Milk is on of the easiest solution for itchy eyes. dip a cotton in a glass of cold milk and rub it around your eyes. You can place the cotton with the milk on your eyes and leave for 20 minutes.

Salt and water

Water and salt are natural eye wash. Pour water in a cup and add a teaspoon of salt.
Boil this natural eye wash until the salt completely dissolves in the water. Allow the water to cool and then wash your eyes with this water to get relief from itching eyes.

Water

This is very straightforward. The more you stay hydrated, the more you escape or evade itchy eyes. So, drink enough water daily.

Cucumber

Cucumber provides calm for the eyes as well as reduce its irritation. Simply cut slices of cucumber, put them in the fridge and when it gets cold, place them over your eyes for 20 minutes.

Green Tea

Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties which can be used to get relief from itchy eyes. Boil two green tea bags and use it to wash your eyes when it cools.

Rest

One major symptom of itchy eyes is the lack of enough sleep. So try to rest and sleep as much as you can.
