Recently people have been transitioning into natural hair and most don’t know how to take care of their hair properly or the steps to take when washing your hair. So here are the guidelines in taking care of your natural hair:
DO: Wash your hair once every 1 or 2 weeks.
DON’T: Don’t wash your hair too frequently. The more often you wash your hair, the more you strip it of its natural oil which would lead to a dry and brittle hair.
DO: You should shampoo and condition your hair with natural shampoo.
DO: Wash your hair with conditioner every 3 to 5 days. This is known as co-washing. It will help moisturise your hair and keep it manageable.
DON’T: Use products that contain silicones and sulfates. Avoid using sulfate, as it can be hard to remove and can lead to dry hair and too much build.
DO: Try using products with organic ingredients, like avocado, coconut, shea and organic products. These are regulated from farming and harvesting.
