For reclaiming the much-coveted English Premier League title, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic on Tuesday rewarded all Chelsea players for their efforts.
The Russian billionaire rewarded them with Hublot wrist watches worth £9,000 each.
Hublot watch brand has been one of the club’s sponsors since 2016 and the watches are said to have a Chelsea lion on the face and is inspired by the club’s colours.
The club chairman Mr Bruce Buck revealed the intention of the club owner to the players.
“On behalf of Mr Abramovich and also on behalf of the board of directors of the club, congratulations on creating history during the 2016/17 season.
“It’s been a campaign to remember. Keep the blue flag flying high.”
The team has already begun their preseason training in readiness for International Champions Cup coming up in Beijing, China.
They will open their title defence of 2017/2018 season at home to Burnley.
